Ramps

We sustainably wild harvest ramps in the Northeast Kingdom for special offerings to CSA and farmers markets.

Storage and Culinary Tips

  • Wrap  damp paper towel or loosely in plastic and store in the crisper drawer. 

  • You can also place ramps upright in a glass of water. Keep in mind they are very aromatic!

  • Also known as wild leeks, ramps have been harvested and eaten by native people for thousands of years.

  • To preserve the ramp population, we only harvest the leaves of the plant to allow it to regenerate the next year.

  • Use ramps in any recipe that calls for garlic, green garlic, or leeks.

  • Ramps preserve beautifully- make a pesto or compound butter for the freezer!

  • Great grilled!

  • A unique seasonal treat that has to tasted!
