Komatsuna

Variety: Carlton

Season: Early Spring, Late Fall

Storage & Culinary Tips

  • Store the komatsuna rosette in a loose plastic bag in your crisper drawer.

  • Best consumed within a week.

  • Also known as Japanese mustard spinach, this traditional Japanese vegetable has a mildly mustard taste similar to pak choy and is tolerant to heat and cold.

  • Large and flavorful leaves make an excellent addition to salads and stir fries.

  • Komatsuna is so healthy! It is high in calcium, vitamins A and C, and contains more iron than spinach.
