Storage & Cooking Tips

  • Butternut squash can be stored for most of the winter in the right conditions. Stored best in 50-60 degree temperature, which does not drastically fluctuate. Make sure the squash has really good airflow around it and the humidity is low. Do not store in direct sunlight.

  • Butternut can be make into soups, stews, purees, and it is delicious roasted. Generally, the peel is pretty tough and isn’t very pleasant to eat unless you roast it for a long period of time.
